What time are the Check-In and Check-Out times?

Check-in is anytime after 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. An early check-in of 1:00pm and late check-out of 12:00pm (noon) may be accommodated based on availability. An additional charge of $35 will be assessed to the total reservation price. Please inquire at the time of booking.

Guests who fail to check out by 12:00pm (noon) will be charged an additional night’s stay.

What is the check in process

Convenience is our goal with your check-in! For this reason, guests will receive a unique key code 24 hours prior to check-in time. This allows for a convenient self-check-in anytime after 3:00pm.

Is breakfast included with my stay ?

A self-serve, continental breakfast is available for our guests after each night of their stay. We offer fresh fruit, instant oatmeal and grits, yogurt, granola bars, muffins and pastries. Snacks and drinks are available for guests 24/7. We are happy to accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions; please notify us at the time of booking.

Do you allow pets?

While we love our furry friends, please leave them with a sitter during your stay with us.

Can I bring in guests during my stay?

In the interest of safety of all guests and owners, only paying guests are allowed use of the inn and amenities. All rooms are limited to two guests, unless innkeeper has been notified in advance. Contact innkeeper for more information.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

Because we are small inn, cancellations impact us significantly. If you do need to cancel your stay with us, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible. If you notify us of your cancellation 7 or more days prior to your check-in date, a full refund will be issued. If a cancellation is requested within 6 or fewer days of your check-in date, a refund less 30% of the total reservation amount will be processed.

Is the inn suitable for children?

The Trott House Inn provides relaxing and romantic accommodations, for this reason we do not accept guests under the age of 13 in the majority of our guest rooms. The Ashe Suite can accommodate families with children of all ages. Please call us to inquire.

Is the inn handicap accessible ?

Due to the age of the home, our facilities are not ADA compliant or handicap accessible. All guest rooms are located on the second and third floors.
